Instrumental, ambient, almost darkwave musick based on dreams, nightmares, and waking. Synth-washes of blissful sound that will remind you of hypnogogic visions and those things that go bump in the night. Jason Wallach is the man behind the musick here, and he’s managed to create a pastiche of sculptured sound that meanders through your consciousness like a pleasant dream, bringing images to your cerebral cortex like some sort of a hallucinatory movie. Although at times the meandering does venture into soulless new-age musical territory, it does not often stay there for long. Considering that this is all electronically based, it is still quite human sounding and organic in construction and sound. Nice effort from an artist that I’d like to hear more of in the future.
